We have a Dell Inspiron 13 with Wondows 10 Home. It has now stuck with a bitlocker code needed to unlock it. But I thought that bitlocker was not available in Windows 10 Home, so how can it be on?
And how can I find the key when my Microsoft account sys that the device has bitlocker off? This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
I have the same question 0. Report abuse. The device was perhaps encrypted before so it should have been supported. Since you're having a hard time removing the encryption or finding your character long BitLocker recovery key, you can visit this link: Find my BitLocker recovery key for more workarounds. Usually, the recovery key was saved to your Microsoft account. The last thing that you can do here is to reset your computer when our provided workarounds is no longer applicable.
In the meantime, if you're having a hard time recovering it every time Windows 10 updates, you can use a tool that can retrieve your BitLocker key to unlock your hard drive. Visit this link: Get BitLocker Recovery key and download the recovery tool created by one of our influencers.

You can save the recovery key to a file or print a copy of it. Please note that anyone can use the recovery key to gain access to the drive, even if they do not know the password entered in the previous step, so please do not disclose it to others.

The encryption process could take a long time to finish depending on the size of the drive, so please be patient to wait.
